How to Delete an Uncategorized Category in WordPress

 

1.  You should note that you cannot remove the Uncategorized category in WordPress, but on the other side you can rename it. Log in to the WordPress dashboard.

 

3. Now, hover your mouse on the Uncategorized option then click on Quick Edit.

 

4. Now you need to change its name and slug then confirm with Update Category.
